Rarely have I seen such a beautiful photo. In 2013 Marcin Ryczek captured a once in a lifetime photograph of a man feeding swans from the Grunwald Bridge in Cracow. It’s truly a natural representation of the Yin and Yang that is found in everyday life all throughout our existence as human beings: spirits of light and dark working together in harmony. The photo’s stark beauty in contrast and its cultural significance are simply, in a word, stunning.
While A Man Feeding Swans in the Snow could be considered Mr. Ryczek’s magnum opus, his other work is as equally beautiful and timeless: his photography tells stories unheard about his subjects, stories that each us will find unique in our own way as seen from our own experiences, desires, feelings, and lives.
